I've got the original game on disc so i'm wondering if it'd be worth it to buy this new and improved version of the game. What makes aoe2 different from other RTS is that the game is much more focused on macro strategy and building. you generally spend about 20 minutes building your town before attacking, in SC 2 or WC 3 the game ends at 20 minutes. this makes it IMO more noob friendly as you can play slowly.

In contrast, aoe2 fans were milked (if you can call it that) of $20-45 for the HD edition which was admittedly terrible, but the fact that they realized their errors and gave us a proper remaster with a ton of new functionality and dedicated servers for ranked matchmaking for only $20 redeems them in my book.
