Posted May 23, 2015. i bought a mondeo mark 4 ,57 plate mondeo edge in august 2013,since then the fuel pump has gone 3 times and is costing a packet to replace,today its gone again .the only way i can start it is to thump the fuel tank whilst turning the ignition over.any ideas anybody,im about !Removed! off with it. remove the electrical fitting on the left hand side of the filter head, underneath that metal bracket. tissue at the ready to catch the overflowing diesel, there's not a lot. remove the filter head and put to one side, wide the inside because diesel sits in the top of there. lift the filter out and let it drain into your filter body.
